Fear Not

Hey y'all.

I have been struggling trying to articulate my support to all of my friends and family in Florida. I know we serve a mighty God. I know that He is in control. And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 NKJV).

But I ask myself, knowing these things, why do we still fear? Why are we still insecure about the outcome of things? Do you not serve a mighty God? Do you not serve the God who calms the storm, controls the wind by just speaking a word, rose from the dead? Who, then, will make us feel secure if we don't trust our God to get us through the storm?

Today, I encourage you to trust the Lord. Our God is bigger than the hurricane. Our God can calm the winds and stop the storm. "Look, I am the LORD, the God over every creature. Is there anything too difficult for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27 CSB). We know there isn't.

Let us chose to ignore what doubt says to us. Let us have mustard seed faith (Matthew 17:20 CSB)

The time has come to stand firm in your faith. We must love God enough to trust Him in the difficult times too. I know it’s scary to face the unknown, but what we have to remember what King David said in Psalm 37:25

“I have been young, and now I am old,

yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,

nor his children begging for bread.”

What this tells us is that while we trust in God, things will happen around us, but God will provide for our needs. We must remain steadfast and faithful to Him who has kept us until this day. Know that there is a church (body of believers) praying for you. My brothers and sisters in Christ, know that what ever storms we face, our God is in control. These moments serve a purpose, let us not get distracted. Let us show the world what faith in God looks like. Let us come together in prayer. Nothing can separate us from the Love of God (Romans 8:38-39 NKJV). If you would like prayer, comment down below the word “Pray” and we will add you to our prayer wall. Until next week brothers and sisters.

Love always,
Your sister in Christ,
Michelle Torres
