Blessed in Trusting God
Hey y’all,
It’s been a while since we had been in contact with our friends on this site and while we don’t want to get into every detail, we would like to say that we are back. We have been on a very difficult journey this past year and we learned a lot during this time away. But before I get too mushy with y’all, I want to give all glory to God. We can honestly say the same as Samuel in 1 Samuel 7:12b “Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the LORD has helped us.’”
We’ve been in a season of uncertainty but we know that our God has things under control and that nothing in this situation has caught Him off guard. We have learned to be rooted in the word of God and to be prayerful in all we do. Sometimes, difficulties arise that seem to us so far beyond our capabilities and that we can’t overcome.
That, my dear brethren, is the point. We can’t do it ALONE. We have to rely on God! That is the way our God gets the glory, honor, praise and worship. By letting God fight on our behalf is how we show God our submission to HIS will, our trust in HIM, and our commitment to God. The Lord will see us through everything that has come our way, just how he has seen us through it all already. That’s why we are still going. God’s mercy has followed us all of our days (Psalms 23:6).
Continue to trust God. Continue to trust that all things work together for the good of those who love the LORD (Romans 8:28). We have to remember, that our help comes from the LORD who made the heavens and earth (Psalms 121:2). I understand sometimes we struggle to see God’s hand working in our lives.
I admit that in my infertility journey, it was hard to see God’s hand. All I could think about was MY pain, and MY desires. It wasn’t until the unfortunate events from April of this year, that I was able to begin to comprehend why God is making me wait. I can now see God’s love and mercy in every area of my life and I feel more than able to wait on God’s beautiful timing. The season of waiting is beautiful, even in our own pain and suffering, we can see God working in us and even through us.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV says it this way:
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Wait on the Lord, and HE will bless you beyond what you can imagine. Until next week y’all. God bless y’all.
